And he looked up, and said, “I see men as trees, walking.” (Mark 8:24).

One day, near the village called Bethsaida, a blind man was led to Christ for healing. Jesus laid hands on him and asked him if he can see anything. At that moment the eyes of the blind man opened but his vision was so bad that he saw people walking, like trees. Then Jesus laid His hands on him again, and the man’s vision was fully restored and he started to see clearly.

Our Lord has not changed. He is ready today to lay His holy hands on me and you once, twice, three times… however many times it will take for us to see clearly; for our spiritual ears to open, that we may learn to hear His voice; until the Holy Spirit fills every cell of our being and until our soul is filled with His glory!

Let’s be sincere as that blind man, not hiding our shortcomings, not closing up inside, making it seem as if we are in control, and have already arrived and not in need of anything. May our hearts cry out to our Healer that we see, but only partially; let’s ask Him for total healing, total victory, and double portion of His grace.

What if the preaching from the church pulpits were once again about the mighty power and glory of God! What if our days were like the days in the book of Acts! May God raise up people who would “turn the world upside down” once again (Acts 17:6), a ministry so powerful that it moved the entire Roman Empire! May the word’s of Christ be true in our day, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.” (John 14:12)
