… Look, people are coming down from the tops of the mountains!(Judges. 9:36).

There was a time Abimelech and his army was heading to the town of Shechem, in order to precipitate it. When Abimelech came to Shechem, Gaal, one of the commanders of the city came out and stood at the gate of the city. At this point, he saw troops approaching the city. This army descended from the mountain hills. Then Gaal said to Zebul, “Behold, people are coming down from the tops of the mountains,” to which Zebul said to him: “You have mistaken the shadows of the mountains with men.” On that day there was a great battle between the forces of Abimelech and the men of Shechem, where residents of the city have suffered a great defeat.

Aren’t these the men you ridiculed? Go out and fight them!” (Judges. 9:38).

Scripture tells us that Gaal reviled, mocked, and cursed Abimelech. He spread the rumor among the people of Shechem that Abimelech did not deserve to be served. So Gaal has set up the whole city against Abimelech and his people, the people who had been neglected and mocked; the people, whom nobody considered, approached the city. The enemy of Abimelech did not see anything special in them, considering them weak and unworthy. But these people descended from the mountain!

The church of the last days is facing a big battle. It is a spiritual battle in which every Christian is involved. The closer we come to the end of mankind, the greater of an attack we see from the demonic forces against the redeemed children of God. You may be reading this message and experiencing a heavy demonic attack. You are involved in a spiritual battle, which the Apostle Paul mentions in Ephesians. Let me cheer you up: a fierce fight with all sorts of problems, trials and temptations is quite a natural thing in the life of any Christian. Apostle James says that we should not be discouraged, but even rejoice when we run into different kinds of temptations. We will never be able to avoid temptation. In our life, we must go through serious spiritual battles.

The Devil is preparing a big battle against the Church of Christ. It’s very sad to see many of God’s children, who were shipwrecked in faith, and were not able to stay strong in this spiritual battle. The Holy Spirit revealed to Apostle John on Patmos that in the end times there will be a fierce resistance against Christians from the forces of the devil. Satan, knowing that he has only a short time on earth, in great fury fights against God’s people. John heard a loud voice from heaven, saying, ‘Woe, to those living on land and in the sea … “. This will be a great flash a demonic rage, anger and wrath, which the enemy will pour out upon all the inhabitants of the earth.

Dear friend, I believe that we are already experiencing this pressure from demonic forces in our day. Look at all the inner sufferings, look at how many have fallen away, look how many temptations, and defeat we experience among the Church of Christ. At this stage the Lord’s people are involved in the greatest spiritual battle, which becomes fiercer every day.

GODS PLAN FOR THE FINAL BATTLE

What does the Almighty God do as we go through this great darkness? What plans does the Lord have for His people? Looking at all the circumstances, many of God’s children begin to doubt. Many are beginning to lose faith in the fact that God has a great plan regarding His people at this evil time. If you think that the devil is beginning to win this spiritual battle, just wait! I am more than convinced that right now God is preparing a special people, who in a short time will begin to descend from the top of the mountain for a great battle. Before us stands a fierce battle and God has promised that His people will be victorious.

The enemy of our souls despises the church of Christ, he mocks her; the devil does not see anything good in God’s children. The forces of darkness, are laughing at our weak faith, and our unworthiness in walking with God. Satan sees the church has lost the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit, and therefore he does not find it a worthy opponent. This is the reality of the times in which we are living.

But I would like to tell every Christian: God has a strategic plan for assembling his church! God wants to take his people to the top of the mountain of prayer, where He can bestow upon them the power and grace of the Holy Spirit. God calls all Christians, regardless of the spiritual, material and social position and status, He calls them to spiritual elevation – in His presence. Those who hear the call of the Holy Spirit, and follow him onto this “mountain”, will come out of the last spiritual battle in glorious victory. The enemy will come into complete confusion; it will literally shock him, as there will be something he had not expected: the people whom he despised and considered unworthy are ones who defeated him the final battle!
